The Birochère market

This food market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Birochère parking lot, rue de la Bernerie. You can find local products as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. Spirulina from Retz, oysters from the Bay of Bourgneuf, or wines from the Vignerons de la Destination Pornic, local specialties are always honored.

The market of Pornic

In the upper town, on the Place des Halles and Rue de l’Eglise, the main market of Pornic stretches around the historic covered market that dates from the 17th century. First and oldest point of sale for the famous Saint-Michel cookies, the covered market of Pornic is also at the origin of their success. The traditional market takes place all year round on Thursdays and Sundays, from 8 am to 1 pm. It gathers about 150 exhibitors all year long. In summer, a farmer’s market also takes place in the barn of the Fontaine aux Bretons inn every Saturday morning in July and August.

The market of Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer

The Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer neighborhood market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm in the center of town. Essentially food, it gathers local producers, stalls of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as artisans in season. Come and buy the Bouchot mussel called Plainaise, typically local, or fleur de sel from the Salines de Millac!

Night markets

Appointments very pleasant to stroll in the evening, after a meal in a restaurant or campsite, the night markets of Pornic are held every Thursday from early July to late August on the New Port of Noëveillard. On the quays, in front of the boats and along the lively terraces, you will discover the work of local artists and craftsmen, but also typical local products offered for tasting, such as the Brigantine craft beer. An opportunity to bring back memories to friends and colleagues who have stayed away from the sea! Concerts and other street shows can be part of the event, to make you spend a pleasant evening relaxing by the water.
